Movies: The Girl Who Played with Fire
July 11, 2010 | Movies
I finished watching my mother-in-law’s copy of The Girl Who Played with Fire (Flickan som lekte med elden), the Swedish movie that goes with Stieg Larsson‘s second book of the Millenium trilogy. I also got the third movie here in Norway. I’ll watch it when we get home.

Books: The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest
June 15, 2010 | Books
I just finished reading The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest (on Kindle) by Stieg Larsson. Just like his other two books, I loved it. Next up is to finish watching the Swedish movie of his second book.

Movie: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I got Män som hatar kvinnor from Norway for Christmas. It’s a movie based on Stieg Larsson‘s book, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Wow. It was in Swedish. I watched it with Norwegian subtitles. It stuck really close to the book, so that helped. But, wow. Great movie.

Books: 2009 in review
Here’s what I read in 2009.
I made a list of Iowa books and authors.
I also participated in a SHE WRITES call to action.
Books I haven’t read yet but should.
Any other suggestions?

Books: The Girl who Played with Fire
I just finished reading The Girl who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson. Oh, my. That was fantastic. Most delightful was a bombshell near the end. I love it when an author can surprise me like that. I read his first book, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and enjoyed it. (I’ve heard the Swedish film is awesome. I’d love to watch it but don’t want to pay $50 for it. Hmm. Maybe I can put it on my Christmas wish list from Norway?) After the second book? I can’t wait for the third and final book, The Girl who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest. It’s due to be published May 25, 2010.

Books: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
August 10, 2009 | Books
I just finished reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. It took a while to get going, but once it did, it was great. I might just have to read the other two books to the trilogy.
