My bed’s in a small town & that’s good enough for me

I knew my new town was small, surrounded by farms and, well, in Iowa. I just never thought about *how* small it was until I was waiting at an intersection, zoning out and staring into space when I realized, dang. I live in a town small enough to have a grain elevator in it.

…and a town small enough where they say dang.
Is a grain elevator what I think it is?

I live in a town with the longest country elevator in the world–or at least it used to be. The fact that we care about that says something about how things are around here. There is also a story about how the elevator saved the town from a tornado. I must make a picture and blog.
