Summertime, summertime, sum-sum-summertime!

I’ve only got one who’s not tall enough for the big slide this year. She’s really bummed about it, but she tells me she’s working really hard to grow so she can join her brother and sister down the slide.
We’re done with swimming lessons and ready for summer school. Oh, if only we got seven months of summer instead of winter. That would be wonderful.

I went through a year of swimming lessons to no avail and after they were over Steve had me “bottom feeding” in a few minutes.

Is it hard for either of your girls that they’re not the same time? It seems like a silly question in some ways, but then you mention situations like the water slide requirement and it gets me thinking.

Yeah, for the smaller one, it’s more difficult … especially with a situation like the slide. She was born last, so she IS the youngest, but I try to deflect labels like “little” or “baby.” On the other hand, her sister envies her long hair. So … it’s always something, isn’t it?
