Crazy eights meme

Kristine Lowe tagged me for an “8 things you don’t know about me” meme. So here goes.
1. I come from a long line of big glasses.
2. Lyndon B. Johnson was president when I was born.
3. I come from a long line of Johnsons.
4. I can’t think of many “Johns” in the family, though, except middle names and those who married into the family. I went to school with a girl named Johnna and a boy named Jan. My first best friend in high school was named Johanna.
5. This is my favorite picture of my dad.
6. This is my second favorite. It’s a picture I took of my son, holding Dad’s baby picture and wearing the same outfit Dad wore in the picture.
7. Even though we grew up in various places, everyone in my immediate family (mom, dad & sibs) was born in Nebraska.
8. Everyone in my little family was born in a town with five letters: Molde, Omaha, Tampa. Our birthdays last year were all on Sunday.

I always think that your son looks just like your husband, but I can see the resemblance in that picture of your Dad.

Nice touch about the presidents. For some reason, all my American relatives seem to have changed names to Hansen or Andersen when they arrived the US, easier to pronounce I guess…
I come from a long line of Löwe’s (also spelled Løwe), which means lion (initially spelled Løve until one of my ancestors decided to make the name sound a bit more posh, maybe as the farm grew bigger – because it was once the name of a farm), but the immediate solution to the tricky pronounciation for my english friends was just to call me Lowe, a spelling which was warmly embraced by my english bank and has stuck with me ever since 1995/ 1996 or so…
